This has not happened to me, but to my sister. She had dropped her phone many times. The last time she dropped her phone, it must of hit the corner perfectly and the screen shattered.

  6. As I walked toward my front door, I tripped and dropped my cellphone on the concrete pavement. The back of the phone came off along with the battery. Needless to say, my cell phone yet works!

  8. while buckling my kids into their car seats, I placed my phone ontop of the car roof. Went about my errands and when pulling up to my house, I saw my phone in the street, crushed.

  9. Somehow a bottle of kids bubbles managed to drip into my phone and had to be replaced. I'm still not 100% sure how that happened.

  11. my daughter was driving a "piece" car and had to climb out of the drivers seat by way of the passenger seat. Drivers door didn't work. she leaned over to get out the passengers side and dropped her cell in a glass of milk on the way to high school.

The day my husband and son brought their new Droids home, my husband was lecturing my son on taking care of his phone and the next thing we know my husband's phone went flying from his hand and landed in a sink full of water! Luckily my son has very quick reactions, grabbed the phone and it was put in rice for the next 24 hours. Worked fine!

  65. I was texting my fiance during breakfast (something and bacon). When I went to get dressed, my dog thought that the smell of bacon on my phone was too irresistible. He ate part of the keypad and destroyed the screen. Imagine telling that to the insurance people!

  96. So, I was in my bathroom doing my hair... and I had Jango radio playing. I guess I got a little TOO into it. Because I ended up knocking my phone off the counter. It hit the scale that was on the floor... (I'd already cracked the screen once before. LONG STORY!!!) When I picked the phone up, there was a crack going from the top of the screen to the bottom. And it did this weird 'spiderweb' thing at the bottom! Thank God for contract updates!!! Upgraded yesterday!! LOL

  103. Last year I dropped my phone for the first time, and it just cracked the screen a tiny little bit. Nothing too major; I could still use the phone. Phew! After a couple of days, however, the crack spread and the ink began to leak from inside the screen, until it eventually covered almost the whole thing. I ended up having to get a new phone. :-/ Luckily, I had Asurion to help me out.

  106. YES! I left it on the back bumper of my truck, completely forgot about it and when I backed out to of the driveway I ran it over....didn't realize it until after I left wondering where is phone, I realized I forget it on the bumper drove home to find my phone crushed!!

They have ruined numerous phones by dropping them in the toilet, cracking them bending over a fence, dropping it in the lake, dropping it in the gutter, etc. etc. etc. I am carrying the same phone I've had for 5 years and they usually don't last a year with a phone.

  143. My son was so anxious (and hot) to jump into the swimming pool at his apartment complex that he didn't realize that he still had his phone in his cargo shorts pocket. Then when he got out after jumping right in, he heard his phone ringing strangely and at the same time he felt his leg burning. He then realized he had his phone in his pocket and the electronics were shorting-out due to the waterlog. :)
