What Daddy Did Today Book Review
The book "What Daddy Did Today" is a fantastic bedtime story for children, especially those children whose daddy works a ton of hours, like my husband. My children are always fascinated with what their daddy does for work. Their daddy is a city truck driver and every now and then we seem to find daddy somewhere driving while we are out. The kids go crazy over seeing a big 18 wheeler.
Well, anyway, back to the book. Since I have said children are amazed at what daddy does all day long, this book makes daddy look even more of a super hero than he already is, now daddy saves kittens and fights off dragons!
I read this book to my little ones (5 and 3), and their eyes just lit up and listened to the whole story with out moving. Of course, mommy has to play the part somehow; either with a high voice or a low voice or a scary mean voice (boy, wish I had audio for those voices).
I really LOVE this book, wish there were more books like this about children's daddys. This one has a special place in my heart now. I hope to have this as a hand me down to give to my sons when they get older. Awesome book Walter! Thanks for sharing, made my day/week/year (awww happy tears, sniff)!
Who is the author?
Walter Wally was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. At an early age, Walter discovered that he loved to tell rhyming stories. One of Walter’s fondest memories is sitting in his basement as a young boy, and creating his first rhyming story to explain why the walls would creak. If memory serves, I think Frankenstein had something to do with it. Anyway, if anything can turn Walter into a kid again, it’s telling stories that people enjoy. Walter writes rhyming stories for adults as well, and is available for all kinds of readings and events.
